DCSE Spins off Spatial Wave™
Aliso Viejo, Calif. – June 12, 2007:
DCSE announced today the spin off of a new company
called Spatial Wave™ to focus on development and marketing of spatially enabled
software products. DCSE’s initial entry into the software product business
dates back to introduction of its MapLibrary™ product in 2003. The company
grew the products division by introducing Mapplet™ in 2003 and Field Mapplet™
in 2005. Spatial Wave™ was formed to further focus efforts on enhancing the
products, including services and solutions that have been built around them.
Spatial Wave™ will be an independent entity lead by DCSE’s former President and
CEO, Ali Diba. Spatial Wave™ will focus on enhancing its software products and
improving the services to customers. This renewed focus will allow Spatial Wave
to expand sales geographically into new regions, as well as new market
segments.
“Today’s announcement
represents a new milestone in streamlining the strategic direction of our
business”, said Ali Diba, former CEO of DCSE. “The company (Spatial Wave™,
Inc.) will operate with the level of independence and innovation needed to
provide solutions to a wider audience including new regions and industries not
previously addressed.” said Ali Diba. “DCSE on the other hand will focus on
the core success of the company which has made it the leader in providing
consulting and conversion services in GIS, application development services,
and system integration for the water and wastewater industry”, said Ali Diba.
DCSE will be lead by the former senior vice president and consulting services
division head, Dr. Masoud Hoseyni.
DCSE continues to work
closely with Spatial Wave™ on collaborative basis to provide the highest level
of service to accounts shared by both companies. “DCSE’s reputation as a leader
in implementing solutions for the water and wastewater industry often overlaps
into the software space where DCSE and Spatial Wave™ will benefit from a
strategic alliance to service a common customer base”, said Dr. Hoseyni.
DCSE remains committed to
providing the highest level of support and services to its utility customer
base. These customers will be serviced directly by DCSE as before. Existing
customers will be contacted in the coming weeks to address the transition. “Our
strategic partnership with DCSE will allow us to provide a smooth transition
for our existing customer base to the new company”, said Ali Diba.
