City of Oceanside Implementing Field Mapplet® for Their Mobile Workflows

The City of Oceanside is situated in Southern California, 35 miles north of San Diego. The City has an area of 42 square miles and a population of about 173,300. With the case of many municipalities, Oceanside operates and manages both its water and waste water infrastructure. Their challenge has been to provide the highest level of service in a growing city with limited resources. For many years now the city has been on the road to modernization with the many systems which support their daily work. One such system has been with GIS (Geographical Information Systems). GIS has become a catalyst for the city to deploy work flow specific technology solutions across the organization that benefits daily activities of city staff.
